Keep Your Files Safe
For some reason, I never learned about backing up files until recently. It was just never something I thought about until I lived on my own. I never thought about it, that is, until a hacker found their way onto my server and decided to steal my IP address. That is when I had to literally delete every single file on my computer and then reinstall my operating system. That was the most horrific technological experience of my life, but the thing that hurt the most was losing all of my file. My music, my photos and my papers were all gone. Now of course I know that i should have been backing up my work all along. There's a way for you to save and store your files online. It's called IBackup. It's a website where you schedule anOnline Backup for your computer. The service is fairly affordable, and this way you will be able the heart ache of having to redownload your entire Itunes music catalog like me. If you're addicted to your cellular device like me, you'll be glad to know that you can also check your files from you iPhone. The website is perfect for tech-savvy (and not so tech-savvy) MAC users who want to insure that their computers are safe. Now the company has released a desktop client for MAC that makes the process even simpler.

Future Black Style Star: Jourdan Dunn

Not too long ago, I announced Chanel Iman to be the next black super model, but it seems as though fashion insiders have another ebony beauty in line to take the throne. 17 year-old Jourdan Dunn could be the next Naomi Campbell.
Dunn is set to grace the pages of both American and British Vogue within the next few months. She'll also be featured in the much talked about all black issue of Vogue Italia alongside Iman, Chanel Iman, and Naomi Campbell.
In regards to Jourdan, Sarah Doukas (the woman who discovered Kate Moss) said this,“I’m very excited for her. I feel, if she does have great success, she will have a big effect on the way people look at different kinds of beauty.”
Love it!
Though this is a huge step for black models, and quite frankly black women everywhere. The lack of diversity in the fashion industry is still alarming. I know a lot of fashionistas who shy away from American Vogue, but this is a great reason to pick up the next issue.

Look of The Day: Tatyana Ali
This look of the day is more about nostalgia than anything else. I remember the days when Tatyana Ali was the ish. I loved "Day Dreaming," and her portrayal of Ashley on "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" was classic, but recently she's all but fallen off my radar.
There are a couple of things wrong with this outfit, particularly the fact that embellished dresses have been on the steady decline for the past few months, but on the whole the good outweighs the bad. I love those Louboutins.

How My Love For Shoes Led to a Wedding Day Disaster
If you're looking for amazingly beautiful Wedding Invitations I have found a great new site for you. 1st Class Wedding Invitations offers a wonderful selection of invitations from a website that is designed well and easy to use. The website is perfect for those who want their invitations to be just right because it now features a zoom in feature that allows you to magnify the invite to get a really good look at the details. Simply hover your mouse over the invitation and you'll get a great view.
Speaking of weddings. I have quite a few wedding horror stories. I have not been to a wedding in a couple of years, but that's probably a great thing, because I have a habit of making a fool of myself at them. The last wedding I went to was for my cousin Anthony. Incidentally, he's divorced now, but I guess that is a completely different story. Anyway, I bought these sky high Steve Madden platforms especially for the wedding, and I couldn't wait to show them off. So a mere twenty minutes before the wedding began, I took them out of the box and I put them on. This could not have been a worse decision. The entire time I was at the wedding, I was slipping and sliding around on the tile floor. I literally had to brace myself the entire time on the arm of my date.

Deal of the Day: 25% off at Ann Taylor
I guess Ann Taylor's website a bit of technical difficulty yesterday, so now they're offering 25% off of an entire order. That's an amazing deal! I recently stopped in a store the other day, and I loved their dresses! I used to think that their clothes were only for the "over 40 set" (not that there's anything wrong with that), but now I'd wear a lot of it. Be sure to to head over to their website. Enter 25foryou at checkout.
